The new ball, officially named the Beach Pro BV550C, features a construction of 10 perfectly balanced panel parts, a two-layer textile carcass, and a double-layer "No-Leak" Butyl rubber bladder.
For excellent and enhanced visibility, the Tricolor combination offers a sharp color contrast. In addition to the visual improvements, MIKASA introduces the proven Dimple technology to beach volleyball for the first time. The numerous small depressions (Dimples) on the surface material not only improve grip but also provide maximum and precise ball control. The patented and unique TwinSTLock seam technology has been further improved to make the BV550C nearly waterproof, preventing any increase in ball weight during rainy conditions.
To enhance the ball's durability and airtightness, a new valve shape has been specifically developed. This design prevents microsand from entering the air needle socket and safeguards against valve core damage. MIKASA prioritizes sustainability in the choice of materials, using high-quality synthetic leather made from recycled nylon for the surface material and avoiding solvent-based paints.
The Beach Pro BV550C exclusively carries the designation "FIVB Official Game Ball," making it the official game ball of the World Federation (FIVB) and Volleyball World (VW).
